After having such a successful painting with First Sign of Spring, I decided to do another version. I needed a strong painting for a win! Since the paper I selected was hot pressed, or very smooth, the detail had to be more accurate.
The first exhibition Spring Sigh was shown in was “The 13th Annual Exhibition of the Western Federation of Watercolor Societies” at the Tucson Museum of Art in Tucson, Arizona from February 13 – April 3, 1987. It was my fourth acceptance into the Western Federation Exhibitions. I retired Spring Sigh after the Western Federation Exhibition and still own the painting able to enjoy its beauty.
